As a newly appointed royal minister who took office after the previous minister was ousted, you are taking up your position during a period of uncertainty. You have been loyal to the king since you rose through the ranks together. After the previous king died under mysterious circumstances, the current king took his place.
You have been sent to fortify the eastern part of the kingdom, and your victories have brought new territories and riches to your king, your soldiers, and yourself. Three recent assassination attempts, fortunately unsuccessful, have made the entire kingdom nervous. Are you entering a big position of power at a time when your role can be strengthened? Or will you be quickly removed as the kingdom continues to fall apart?
Over the course of your time, you'll learn more about who really controls power in the kingdom, uncover plots against the kingdom, and be able to romance (but you'll have to tread carefully, as every romance can put you at risk). Your choice will determine not only your future, but the future of the kingdom.
