Rainy Skies is an RPG set in a cyberpunk dystopian world. You start the game with very little knowledge of your name and do whatever it takes to make something of yourself. The main story follows a girl named Mabel, and as you meet and gain allies, you'll be able to move on to other storylines. The game takes place primarily within a vertical megastructure known as the Pillar.
It is divided into three layers: Tropos, Stratos and Mesos; quality of life increases dramatically as you move between them. Much of the game will be spent figuring out how to move between levels. There will be several ways to do this, but none of them will be easy.
You start the game on foot, but eventually get your own spaceship, which will become your primary means of navigating the various locations around the Pillar. It will be an open world game where much of the gameplay will revolve around doing odd jobs and finding ways to make money.
