In Homecoming, you play the role of a young Japanese snow fox named Hiroyuki Nishimura. After moving from your hometown of Minasato to Osaka five years ago, you unexpectedly receive a letter from an old friend inviting you back for the last summer vacation before entering your final year of high school.
What complicates the situation is that over the years you have neglected to contact any of your friends. Despite your nervousness, you accept the invitation. What awaits you again in Minasato? Will you be welcomed with open arms or have you been forgotten for so long? Will this be another wasted summer or will you finally have the chance to experience something worth living for?
